Cliche Christmas Post

Our Christmas was wonderful this year :) We spent it with my family mostly since we spent it up at the cabin with Reese's fam last year.

I feel like these blog post are so cliche, but I love Christmas! And I am sad it is gone. So maybe just maybe I can relive Christmas through my blog.

Reese spoiled me this year! The little stink! (but I think he likes spoiling me! ) He got me an new ihome that works with my iPad, a digital photo frame, a super cute hat from Hollister that I have been coveting! And Justin Beiber perfume (which I got to open early!) Seriously he is the sweetest!
Reese is stoked about his new socks, no really...he is

But he kind of got spoiled too! I got him a remote control helicopter. It is a fun little thing! I think it was hit. However judging buy the crashing sounds in my living room right now, I am not sure if it is going to be my favorite ;)
(Don't mind the messy office!-What a cute husband I have)

Our parents spoiled us too! I got my hair cut and colored for part of my gift and new sheets! Best presents ever! (proves I am getting old!) And my father in law gave me new Kenny Rogers CDs since he carelessly through my Kenny Rogers CD in the lake this summer! (ok ok, it was an accident- but I still tease him about it!)

My little Lainee was so fun this Christmas! When it was her turn to open a present we would say "Lainee do you want to open another present?" and she would say "oh..okay!" So stinkin cute! I love that girl!

Lainee loved the boxes! She would sit in them all!

And it was my other niece Kinsley's first Christmas! I am pretty sure she slept through the whole thing, but she sure is a sweetheart!

We got to spend some time with Reese's family on Christmas night which was great! We got awesome Christmas jamies from them, they are called hoodie footies! They are a neck to toe sweat suit! So comfy!

I hope you all enjoyed your holidays! I have been playing way to much..back to reality for me! Ick!

Green, Green and more Green

We have a little tradition in my family growing up, every Christmas we make cornflake wreaths! (Similar to rice crispies, just with cornflakes) And they are YUMMY! We make tons for the neighbors. By the end we are usually covered in green!

Well, I made my own last night (no mom to help me!) and I must say, they turned out great!

And I maybe snacked a little while making, because my teeth and tongue were green by the time I was done!!!

We are ready for Christmas, are you?

Make sure to check out this cute Christmas story, told by a sweet little girl. Watch it here

Real Meaning of Christmas

Deck the Halls

This blog post is way past due, but with finals and living this crazy thing I call life, I have neglected it.

The weekend after Thanksgiving (spent in Island Park!) Reese and I decorated our lovely home for Christmas! I have a mantle this year which I was super excited about! We listened to Christmas music and decorated our tree and our apartment. It looks so festive :) I am soooo lucky that my husband loves decorating for Christmas and is such a big help!

Take a peek inside our winter wonderland:

Reese's beloved chicken that does the Christmas dance...he loves this thing!

Putting the lights on

I took the picture of us down, and Reese made me put it back up. He said this picture never comes down. When I said it kind of clashes with nativity. His reply: No way! That is what Christmas is all about- Christ's birth and you and me babe! (he is a smart one! Not to mention a cute one!)

My mantle :) Isn't it cute?

Our finished tree! Family Dollar special! You make due when you are poor college students!

This is our Christmas, simple yet so wonderful!

I am so grateful to spend a second Christmas with Reese. It is so wonderful to be able to share the spirit of Christmas with the one you love.

I hope you all have a great Christmas this year and slow down to remember the true meaning of Christmas, our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Here is an amazing Christmas Story, told from the point of view from a sweet little girl: Watch it here.

Merry Christmas!

Birthday Weekend Surprise

For months Reese was sneaking around, doing secret things on the internet and making phone calls I wasn't allowed to hear. Most wives would have been concerned! ;) He told me not to plan anything for the weekend after my birthday because he had a birthday SURPRISE for me!! I have never really gotten a surprise this big!!- so I was stoked.

As time got closer I knew we were going somewhere, but where we were going, I had NO idea.

We hit the road early Friday morning and Reese had the destination plugged into his TOM TOM but I still had no idea where we were going! We drove, and we drove. And I couldn't figure out for the life of me where we were going. I thought I had it pinned down to Oregon, but the when we took a turn in Twin Falls, I was baffled.

The drive was fun! We played the license plate game, and we played How well do you know me? and lots of other fun games. We talked, we laughed, and sang along to Christmas music!

We got kids meals :)

We hit Jackpot, Nevada. And it popped in my head.. RENO! We were going to Reno! I had never been before, so I was stoked!!
L O N G E S T tunnel I have ever been through!

We were only their for 2 days, so we packed them full! We went to a casino buffet, played a little 21, got IDed a TON, went shopping, ate at PF Changs, swam, sat in the hot tub, drove around Reno, stayed up late watching TV! We had a blast! My sweet husband did whatever I wanted because it was my birthday weekend. He even shopped for like 5 hrs!! :)

We went to a shopping mall that had a Ferris wheel inside! It was amazing! We rode it for 1 dollar!

I love Reno :) I love birthdays :) And I LOVE REESE!

2011 Christmas Ornament

I heard of a tradition where every year the family would get a new Christmas tree ornament that reminded them of something fun, or funny that happened that year to them. It got me thinking, Reese and I have plenty of traditions that we have carried over from our childhood, but not one that we can call our own. Now, I haven't talked to Reese about it, but I am sure he will LOVE the idea! So I began to think of all the fun things we have done this year, and there is sure a lot!!

So I started from the beginning...

Hawaii-
Disneyland-

Reno-

(without the name Johnny- haha)

I am sure I could come up with lots more ornament ideas- I am going to ask Reese about it tonight :)

Which one do you think we should get? We have lots of happy memories from this year!!
