Reese and I were carnies this past week, we worked at the state fair selling cotton candy! Well I did the selling, Reese spun it, and bagged it! He is quite talented! This is our second year working at the cotton candy booth, and we really like it! It is a way to bring in some extra cash and support our nasty fair habit. I mean how many people can say they made money by going to the fair?? Not many ;)
Working at the fair is awesome, really easy to people watch! People are so interesting sometimes! Parents would order cotton candy and I would ask them, "blue or pink" and you would have thought it was the million dollar question on who wants to be a millionare, because it would take some people FOREVERRRRR! And people don't tend to wait in line at the cotton candy booth, they swarm you from all sides, and when you don't take care of their needs right that second, they get so angry! I learned that parents need to take a step back and learn from their kids, because the kids who came and bought cotton candy and snow cones were as polite as could be, and it didn't take them seven years to order!
Don't get me wrong, most people were nice but there was some people that got on my nerves!
There was this one man who kept taking our spoon straws when he walked by, and he would try and be sneaky. What in the world in a man going to do with a spoon straw?
Reese and I ate WAY to much cotton candy! One night we laid in bed and ate a whole bag! I can feel my cavities forming already!
Reese made 10 cents more than me an hour because he could bag for two people spinning! So he made a whole 7 dollars more than me for the week! We found that very funny :)
One more thing, cotton candy was invented by a dentist, how ironic is that?
I hope you got to enjoy cotton candy if you went to the fair : )
